Darrell Gene Anderson, 96, passed away March 26, 2025, at Living Springs Village.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Rosemound Cemetery with Wayne Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Darrell was born and grew up in Hubbard, Texas. He attended Mt. Calm High School and Baylor University. He met and married Juanita Slaughter in November, 1949. He worked in purchasing in the mobile home industry for most of his life and when retiring followed his passion of gunsmithing. He worked at Hewitt Guns and Gold and Unique Guns. He loved and was a member of Renew Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Anderson; parents, William and Inis Anderson; brother, Harold Anderson; sister, Mildred Sears; sister, Frances Johnson.
Darrell is survived by his wife Alice Cochran (married in March, 1994); his daughter, Alecia Harp and husband, Robert; his son, Steven Anderson and wife, Liz; grand children, Austin Anderson and wife, Macall; Aaron Anderson; Blair Harp; Abbie Harp Lambert and husband, Christian; great-grandchildren, Osburn Anderson, Huxten Anderson and Mollie Lambert; step children, Mike Cochran, Susan Brown and Robbie Sparks.
Pallbearers – Steven Anderson, Austin Anderson, Aaron Anderson, Robert Harp, Christian Lambert, Mike Gonzales and Tim Cantu.
