Typical summer weather in store heading into the weekend
But temperatures look to warm up a little more heading into next week
Another typical July day has unfolded across Central Texas and we’re expecting more of the same for the rest of the work week - But next week, temperatures look to be back around the triple digit mark and feeling even hotter thanks to the high humidity as high-pressure begins to move in from the west. Like we saw today, there’s the chance for a few thundershowers to pop up across Central Texas during the afternoon and evening hours for the rest of the work week and into the weekend. There may be a slightly better chance for rain on Saturday, but for the majority of Central Texas, most will remain rain-free for the foreseeable future. As far as temperatures go for the rest of the work week, morning lows will be down into the mid 70s with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Unfortunately, it will feel a bit hotter outside because of increasing Gulf moisture, so we’ll feel closer to 100°. The weekend will feature more of the same. Morning lows will be around the mid to upper 70s Saturday and Sunday, with afternoon highs in the upper 90s and feels-like in the low 100s!
Now, the thermometer will continue to crank up as we head into the new week as high-pressure begins to park itself into the heart of the nation. Highs every day next week will be hovering either right below or just above 100-degrees, but feels-like temperatures could be back up to around 105° next week… And depending on where the high-pressure sets up late in the week, we may stay in this typical hot and dry weather pattern as we head deeper into the month of July. As of right now, rain chances for next week are not looking good for Central Texas since we look to be under the influence of high-pressure. There may be a teeny tiny drop in temperatures and isolated rain chances returning late in the work week or next weekend, but as of now, it’s still too early to tell if we’ll have a significant change to our weather pattern. While hot temperatures and dry conditions are normal for us in Central Texas this time of the year, continue to keep safe in the heat! Stay hydrated and limit your time outdoors as much as possible!
