All Sunshine and Warmth Here in Central Texas, Not So Much in the Tropics.
Lots of consistency in our forecast once again. Temps staying right around 90 for a while and lots of sunshine… although we may get a day or two early in the work week with some cloud cover. Out in the Atlantic, Hurricane Humberto has strengthened all the way up to a category 5 hurricane and forecasting the path of Tropical Depression Nine continues to prove very difficult.

Upper level high pressure continues to dominate our area keeping us warm and dry. A weak upper low is forecast to move in from the west on Monday but shouldn’t do much besides give us some extra cloud cover for a day or two but other than that we are looking at keeping those highs around 90 and lots of sunshine.

Tropical Depression Nine, which is likely to become Tropical Storm Imelda in the next day or so, continues to slowly move north over Cuba. Its slower than expected track has opened the door for a world of possibilities for how it will progress. It is still expected to strengthen into a Hurricane by early in the week but it is looking increasingly likely that it will just barely miss the U.S. east coast and make a hard right back out to sea.
