A Few More Storms Moving Through This Evening, but the Next Few Days are Looking Sunny and Dry.
A Few Storms Could be Strong to Severe.
Tracking the chance for more thunderstorm activity through the afternoon and evening hours, a few of which could be on the strong side. What we are waiting on for more activity to ramp up is a cold front which is forecast to move through the area in the evening and produce a few thunderstorms along it.
So far today the thunderstorm activity that we have seen has been ahead of the front in the warm and unstable airmass that moved in overnight, but these initial storms have been weak and sporadic in our eastern counties and have not gained much steam until they moved east of I-45. Once the cold front moves through it could take advantage of the moisture that has gone mostly unused in our area to fire up some storms with some locally gusty winds.

On the back side of this front these is some much drier and cooler air moving in that will make our Sunday a very pleasant day. Temperatures will peak in the upper 70s and lower 80s tomorrow and we will be seeing almost entirely clear skies.

We will be sticking with the sunny skies for much of this coming week, however our temperatures will see some variation throughout the week as different airmasses come and go. Our next chance to see rain will come later in the week and into the following weekend.
