Drier Air to Follow All This Rain, and Some Cooler Temperatures Ahead
Showers and thunderstorms will linger in parts of our area into the overnight hours tonight but tomorrow is a brand new day! Lots of dry air working its way in behind this system that brought us all of this rain the past two days, so we are looking at lots of sunshine… and maybe even some cold nights this coming week.
Parts of the Brazos Valley are where the rain is expected to hold on for a bit longer through the evening and into the overnight hours but once it is out of our area we are looking at a sunny and pleasant day for your Sunday. We will likely have a fair amount of fog in the morning with the loads of moisture at surface level from all the rain and cool morning temperatures but what will burn off a little after sunrise. Afternoon high temperatures will be up around 80 across the area.
Our next chance for any rain will be on Tuesday, and it is a very low chance at best. A cold front will move through Central Texas but there will not be much in the way of moisture around for it to turn into rainfall. Behind the front, however, noticeably cooler temperatures are expected with highs falling short of 70 and morning lows potentially down in the low 40s. So far much of October has not really felt like October, but for the final week it we are finally going to get the feel of Autumn.
