Cold, Damp, and Windy... A Dreary Few Days Ahead.
Oh boy are we getting chilly and miserable after this rain moves through. Cold air is moving in but we won’t be drying out all that much as cloudy days and a bit more rain are in our future, giving us a bit of a Pacific Northwest feel as opposed to actually feeling like Texas.
This cold front will be shifting slowly from northwest to southeast across our area through the evening and into the overnight and the rainfall along with it. By the time we get to midnight all of the heavy rain will have moved out of our area although a few small showers and a lot of cloud cover will remain.

All through the night, on the back side of the cold front, much colder air will move in and will be sticking around for a few days. We will likely not be getting out of the 40s both tomorrow and Monday and morning temperatures will be in the mid-upper 30s! We will be getting close to that freezing mark but the moisture that is hanging around will help to keep us a little warmer during the night so as of now it looks like we will just hang above that 32 degree mark.

More rain looks to be moving in on Monday and then even more later in the week as another cold front is set to move through. Winds at the upper levels are making a lot of north-south movements which will spur a number of surface low pressure systems over the next week or so and keep relatively cool air in our area. We will be warming up after Monday but only back into the 50s and 60s.
