Warm Weather All of Next Week
Upper 70s for Christmas is what people go on vacation to Mexico or the Florida Keys or Hawaii for… but those folks trying to escape the cold up north might as well come to Central Texas for the holidays as we will be feeling like a tropical vacation destination for all of next week.
We are watching a couple days for near-record highs, one of those days being tomorrow. The record is 78° and that’s right where our forecast puts us so one measly little degree more and we will set a new record. Tomorrow is also looking to have some pretty strong winds coming out of the south and southwest with gusts reaching up to around 30 MPH throughout the entire day.

A cold front will briefly drop our temperatures on Sunday with highs only getting into the 60s but starting Monday we will be looking at 70s for the whole of next week with a few of those days nearing record highs as well. No major changes will take place until the start of the following week when an upper level trough will swing its way across the country and, depending on the timing and intensity of it, could bring us some rainfall.
