We are transitioning to a very typical mid-June weather pattern, with warmth and humidity being the big story. A few spotty late afternoon/early evening showers and thunderstorms today, mainly for our southeastern counties and into the Brazos valley. Some locally heavy rain is possible with these showers, but severe weather looks unlikely.

We will keep the spotty afternoon rain chances around into the Father’s Day Weekend, but rain chances are only around 20%. It will be a very warm and muggy weekend. Highs will make it into the low 90s, but when you factor in the humidity the Heat Index values will climb to around 100°.

Next week we will keep the forecast warm, humid, and mainly rain-free. High pressure will be building in next week, and typically that leads to extended warm and rain-free periods.
