Hope you’re all enjoying the weekend! Father’s Day starts off dry, but rain chances go up across Central Texas in the afternoon. If you’ve got outdoor plans, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the radar—nothing severe is expected, just some typical afternoon showers and storms. Rain and thunderstorms will move from north to south between 2 and 7 PM, with lightning and downpours possible. With the ground already pretty soaked from recent rains, some minor flooding in creeks or low spots isn’t out of the question.

A few stray showers may sneak in Monday, but most of Central Texas should stay dry. After that, our next rain chances hold off until Thursday into next weekend—daily, afternoon pop up showers/storms that are typical this time of year.

The big story for the week will remain the heat and humidity. Highs in the 90s plus all that leftover moisture will push “feels like” temps into the 100s. It’s going to feel like summer—because it almost is! The summer solstice is Friday, June 20th... just six days away!
