Hot and breezy Sunday

Looks like we’re in for hot and humid weekend now that summer has officially started. Morning clouds will clear out by afternoon, leaving us with sunshine, temperatures in the low to mid 90s. The humidity sticks around and sends heat index values around 100 to 104 — not quite hot enough for a heat advisory, but still toasty!
Breezy south winds will keep things moving at 10-20 mph, with gusts up to 30. That same general pattern sticks around through the weekend and into early next week. But by mid to late week, we might finally see some rain chances creep back in, thanks to moisture from the Gulf.
Bottom line: hot, humid, and breezy for now — but maybe some relief with spotty storms later next week.
