Summer heat starts to build in
Sunday brings more sun and a warmer feel as summer heat builds through the week. Highs in the mid to upper 90s, with “feels like” temperatures up to 105 by the end of next week. The breezy afternoons, like today, will help to take the edge off the heat. No rain in sight next week but there could be a few sprinkles (east) today.

As we progress through the workweek we will continue to see the typical July heat build in, with highs climbing into the mid-to-upper 90s, and heat index values ranging between 100-105°. We will stay rain-free throughout the workweek as well.
As we head into next weekend, slight rain chances return to the forecast. We will be watching a system that “may” develop out in the Gulf. Depending on how this system develops and where it moves it may bring us some scattered weekend showers, but there are still a lot of question marks with this part of the forecast.
