It’s a quiet start to Sunday but a weak front stretched across the state and a cluster of storms diving south keeps a rain chance alive today. We are tracking a cluster of storms that is expected to fizzle out before getting here, but we could see a few areas - mainly north and east of 1-35 - that could see rain today.

Tonight into early Monday looks a little more active as a stronger cluster of storms, once again, dives south. The best chances for storms will be west of I-35. Some of those could be strong, with damaging wind gusts possible. Scattered storms could linger into Monday morning, then clear out by late afternoon as drier air moves in. Monday night looks pleasant, with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.

By midweek, high pressure builds in, the rain shuts off, and temps start climbing. Expect upper 90s by Wednesday and heat index values 102-105 for afternoons for the end of next week.
