Hot Sunday but rain chances return
We’ve got a little pattern change setting up through midweek. We see our summertime high be not-so-dominate, and that allows for some slight improvements to the heat plus opens the door for some rain to pop up.
Today, just a few isolated showers or storms could pop up in the far south and east, but coverage will be minimal. Rain chances bump up tomorrow and peak Tuesday, then taper off Wednesday. A few storms could have strong winds, but nothing widespread is expected.
Late week into next weekend, a ridge builds along the Gulf Coast but doesn’t look quite as strong as earlier forecasts suggested. That means we’ll likely stay near normal temperatures. Things look dry as of now, but we might hang on to low rain chances (mainly far east and southeast) if the high doesn’t build in as strong. Check back for the latest in the coming days.
