Heat dominates but a few shade clouds around today
Clouds will stream in from the west today, but rain will stay well out of reach. Expect highs in the low 90s with more clouds overhead today. Tomorrow there could be a few sea breeze style showers/storms that hold on long enough to make it into the south and eastern zones of Central Texas. The chance for rain looks minimal.
By Tuesday, the ridge of high pressure strengthens again, shutting down rain chances and keeping us a couple degrees warmer than normal through midweek.
High pressure breaks down some on Thursday and that allows a chance for rain to sneak in. The best chances for rain will be the farther north you go and even then, the prospects look slim.
Looking ahead to next weekend, the pattern shifts again as a trough deepens to our east. That setup could mean more rain chances and possibly a push of cooler air by late weekend or early next week.
