We’re in for more warm and dry weather this weekend, thanks to high pressure overhead. Expect lots of sunshine with highs in the low 90s. Even though it’s heating up, the air is dry enough that humidity will stay lower, so the heat index won’t feel much worse than the actual temperature. Nights will cool down into the 60s, making for pleasant evenings.

Looking ahead to Sunday, dry air continues as winds from the east-southeast keep moisture at bay. But starting Monday, humidity and cloud cover will begin to creep back in as a weather system in the Gulf shifts northeast. This could lead to a few afternoon showers near the coast.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, a weak cold front from the north might trigger some scattered showers and storms across the area. Don’t expect much of a cool-down with the front though—temperatures will likely stay in the upper 80s to low 90s.
