About 250 cars receive 99-cent gas during Waco church giveaway

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Members of Glory Bell Church in Waco found a creative way to give back to their community Saturday morning.
The church hosted its annual “Gas Buy Down Day” at the Buzzy Bee gas station on Waco Drive, offering gas for just 99 cents per gallon from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Volunteers were on hand to personally pump gas and wash the windows of everyone who stopped by.
Church pastors said their goal was to serve the community by meeting a practical need.
The church provided discounted gas to about 250 cars during the event.
