City of Waco and Waco ISD unveil Lions Way street sign outside new Waco High campus
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The City of Waco and Waco ISD held a unveiling ceremony for the new Lions Way street signs outside the new campus.
The signs replaced the old N. 42nd Street signs outside Waco High School.
The new Waco High School’s center hall is named “Lions Way,” and with the new street sign changing from N. 42nd Street to Lions Way guest were able to continue from Lion’s Way inside of Waco High School to the new Lion’s Way road outside the school.
“I think it is important to know it took our city and our district to make this come to live life,” said Superintendent Dr. Tiffany T. Spicer. “We are leaving a legacy today, it is really powerful and something our students appreciate.”

The event marks a significant milestone for Waco High School and the Waco ISD community, celebrating the school’s new campus.
The unveiling kicked off the homecoming festivities with a community pep rally and the “Burning of the W” tradition.
The Waco High Lions host the San Angelo Central Bobcats 7 p.m. Friday night, September 26 at Waco ISD Stadium.
