TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - The Temple Independent School District will host a community-wide Trunk-or-Treat event next week, offering a variety of activities and free treats for all ages.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Santa Fe Plaza. More than 20 booths will feature activities, including a drone arena, a bouncy house, and face painting. Free candy will be distributed, and hot dogs and hamburgers will also be available at no charge. Food trucks will be on site, and Wildcat spirit gear will be for sale.

Attendees can enjoy performances from elementary school choirs and middle and high school jazz bands, with a DJ providing music throughout the evening.

“This is an exciting event and another way to connect families, students, and our staff,” said Dr. Bobby Ott, superintendent of schools for Temple ISD. “We have always said that while some education institutions take care of children, Temple ISD takes care of children and families. We are so ready for the opportunities of learning and fun that this evening will provide.”

The event is free and open to community members of all ages. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
