WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Marlin man remains jailed after police say he confronted a woman he was dating at a Waco restaurant last week, grabbed her hair and forced her into his car at gunpoint.

Waco police arrested Trequan Damon Evans, 20, Sunday on aggravated kidnapping, unlawfully carrying a weapon, assault and disorderly conduct charges in a Nov. 24 incident.

According to arrest documents, Waco police were called to the Wingstop, 220 S. Second St., where a witness told them they saw a man, later identified as Evans, pull a pistol and confront a woman and two men.

“The victim also reported that she was removed from the Wingstop and again at the nearby 7-11 gas station at 701 S. University Parks by Mr. Evans while he was holding the weapon and forced into his vehicle,” police wrote in an arrest affidavit.

Investigators viewed video from the Wingstop, where a dining room camera showed Evans confronting a “male patron while brandishing a weapon in his right hand.”

An outdoor camera showed Evans grabbing the woman by the hair with one hand while holding a gun in the other hand “and forcibly walking her to his vehicle,” the affidavit alleges.

Evans remained jailed Monday on $350,000 bail on the aggravated kidnapping charge, a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison.
