WHITNEY, Texas (KWTX) - Krista and Daniel Wilson are still fighting for answers, nearly two years after their daughter’s murder.

After their daughter, Louise Wilson, was suddenly killed by an enraged driver in downtown Houston on December 10th of 2023, the Wilsons have taken matters to change things in their own hands.

This year, Daniel Wilson testified in support of house bill 795 in Texas, which raises the offense for drivers who draw their guns on the road to a first-degree felony.

“It did become law in September... prior to that if you shot at somebody and missed you were basically rewarded for your bad aim, and it was a lesser offense,” Daniel Wilson said.

The Wilsons say this past year they have gotten to meet and work with families who lost loved ones the same way they did.

“Chris Murzin was killed in Dallas in a roadway shooting and his family established a foundation in his name, they provide technical assistance to these types of cases in the state and they have been willing to help us with Louise’s case,” Daniel Wilson explained.

While Houston Crime Stoppers say they haven’t received a tip that has led to an arrest, Krista Wilson says she will keep sharing her daughter’s story online to get justice and find who is responsible.

“There is someone out there who can relate in some way shape or form, I want people to be able to see Louise’s story and care about Louise,” Krista Wilson maintained.

Houston Crime Stoppers say they haven’t received a tip that has led to an arrest yet, but the $20,000 reward still stands.
