‘I’m tired of it’: Belton, Texas neighbors on edge after repeat peeping Tom is re-arrested
BELTON, Texas (KWTX) - An alleged peeping Tom is keeping an entire Belton community on edge as the man continues to be arrested and released. Most recently, twice for criminal trespassing.
Neighbors across the town shared their encounters with KWTX and why they feel more needs to be done to keep him behind bars.
Videos, pictures and stories continue to circulate social media of 45-year-old James Austin Grisham where they note several times the man has either followed them or come up to their windows trying to look inside.

One neighbor, who asked to be anonymous, says it has every woman in town hyper vigilant.
“I’m always seeing stuff about him. People even have alerts that let them know when he has been arrested or released,” she says.
Some have those alerts because the man is caught and arrested often enough.
Police say Grisham was just recently arrested for criminal trespassing eight days after being released from jail for the same thing.
KWTX sat down with Eric Flores, Grisham’s next door neighbor, whose sister-in-law was approached at night by Grisham.
“She walked in frantically. Like she had seen a ghost,” Flores says.
The police say he has been arrested for peering into people’s windows during the night and others have posted about being followed by him during the day.
The woman KWTX spoke with is a mom and Flores has a wife and a daughter, which keeps all of their heads on a swivel.
“My wife and my girl are always on my mind. And I’m on edge most all day knowing they are here alone,” Flores says.
“I’ve cut back on my walks outside because I have four kids and I love to walk with them. But it makes you nervous to leave the house,” the woman explains.
Neighbors are hoping something will change, even if the change has to start with the people being affected.
“I got tired of it so I hope this petition gains attention from Senators and the other higher ups in Austin,” she says.
The Bell County Sheriff’s Office says they are working with the neighborhood and court system to find a resolution.
