Students pray at Central Texas schools for ‘See You at the Pole’
Students gathered at flag poles to pray for their schools
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Hundreds of students prayed at schools across Central Texas Wednesday morning in the national See You at the Pole event.
Students from Midway, Bosqueville, Axtell and China Spring ISD participated in the event.
See You at the Pole is an annual event in which students gather at their respective campus flagpole to pray for their school.
“It’s a great time to see students leading and going after it to see Jesus loved across the world,” Waco KLIFE Chapter Director Drew Collins said.
Collins attends the event every year. He hopes it will bring schools closer to Jesus.
“It’s awesome to see the boldness of the next generation step up and seek peace and joy in a world that sometimes doesn’t always feel that way,” Collins said.
He hopes the event will bring relief to students as they begin the new school year.
“Everything that goes on in and out of a school, to be able to stand right in front of your school and say ‘I want to seek something greater than myself,’ that’s Jesus,” Collins said.
The annual event takes place on the fourth Wednesday of September.
