Florida resident talks about planning for Hurricane Milton
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - KWTX Morning Anchor Clayton Anderson spoke with his family in Florida as they prepare for Hurricane Milton, now a category 4 storm.
His cousin, Skyler Bartlett, lives in Riverview, FL and is preparing her plan to shelter in place as the Hurricane creeps closer to Florida despite the push to evacuate.
Hurricane Milton is predicted to hit the west coast of Florida, where the Bartlett family lives.
“People are definitely handling this one differently, this is the first time the Tampa area is directly going to be hit,” Bartlett said.
Bartlett said her family plans to hurricane-proof their home to the best of their ability and will drive to her parent’s house in Apollo Beach, FL to brace for the storm.
