KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - The fight for answers and justice after an Amry OB-GYN doctor was accused of filming patients during exams is growing.

The League United Latin American Citizens who says they are hitting the ground running to help in any way they can.

When Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen disappeared LULAC stepped in to help the family get answers.

When Guillen was found murdered by a fellow solider, they helped in the fight for justice and now they are doing the same for victims of Dr. Blaine McGraw.

“As we did with Vanessa Guillen, we want to ask for a congressional investigation,” said AnaLuisa Carrillo-Tapia, LULAC District 17 Director, Co-Chair LULAC’s Committee Against Sexual Harassment and Assault in the military. We also want and independent panel to review how this happened and going forward, how to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

Because it feels like a continued fight LULAC asked to meet in familiar place.

The corner that is now the location of a Fort Hood gate named after Guillen.

“This is our victory corner per se, and if there’s anything that can be prevented, lets do that. This is where our community gathered, they brought their voices, some didn’t speak English, but they knew that agony and the anguish that a mother was going through,” said Carrillo-Tapia.

It’s the place they plan to hold similar events for the woman affected by Dr. McGraw.

“We’re working, we’re putting things together, we want to make sure that it’s not a hurried situation,” said Carrillo-Tapia. “We want to make sure that it serves its purpose.”

They worked closely with the Guillen family in advocating for change in how sexual assault and harassment was handled in the military.

Having as big an impact as it did for the Guillen family is why they want to hold events outside the same gates they did then.

“What better place to gather than where you have already seen, and came out, and spoke, and demanded justice,” said Carrillo-Tapia. “So, let’s do it again.”

LULAC says they will release times and dates for upcoming events as soon as plans are finalized.

Events they said are to fight for change on behalf of every person allegedly affected the accused OB-GYN, Dr. Blaine McGraw.
