The League of Women Voters of Texas formed

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KWTX) - On October 19, 1919, a group of women in San Antonio formed the League of Women Voters of Texas.
The League of Women Voters of Texas’ mission was to educate the newly enfranchised women voters of the state.
The group encouraged women to conduct citizenship schools, hosted “Get out the Vote” campaigns, and created a “Voter’s calendar.”
You can still find their offices located in Austin.
