WACO, Texas (KWTX) - On October 26, 2017, Dr. Linda Livingstone was inaugurated as Baylor’s 15th and first female president in the university’s 172-year history.

From 1991 to 2002, Livingstone was a tenured faculty member in Baylor’s Department of Management before serving four years as associate dean of graduate programs for Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business.

The Perkins, Oklahoma native began her academic career at her alma mater, Oklahoma State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in economics and management, Master of Business Administration, and Doctorate in Management and Organizational Behavior.

Livingstone says continuing to strengthen Baylor’s culture where faculty, staff, and students are encouraged, inspired, and cared for by one another is her priority.
