The City of Waco is incorporated

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - On August 29, 1856, the city of Waco was incorporated.
Waco transformed into an established city on the site of the Huaco Indian village.
The city thrived on cotton along the Brazos and Bosque rivers at the time.
In 2021, on this day, hundreds of people took to the Waco streets to celebrate the anniversary of the incorporation for a history scavenger hunt.
