Summer Heat Building In!
The summer heat is building in, and sticking around! We will be in the mid-90s over the weekend, with heat index values near 100°.
A broad area of high pressure will be building into Central Texas over the next few days, and will stay in place all of next week. We may see a few spotty showers pop up mid week, but as of now we only expect rain chances around 20% Tuesday through Thursday. The major story will be the warmth! Highs all of next week will be in the mid-to-upper 90s, with heat index values ranging between 100°-105°.
By the 4th of July we will see temperatures climb to near 100°, so make sure you take the correct heat precautions if you have outdoor activities planned during the holiday weekend.
