Summer heat and humidity continues to build into Central Texas, and it’s looking to stick around!

For the remainder of the workweek we will see highs climb into the mid-to-upper 90s, with heat index values each day ranging between 100-105°. We may have a few spotty clouds, but overall we will keep the skies mostly sunny for the rest of the workweek.

Rain prospects don’t look good, but we are watching for the chance for a few stray weekend showers. A weak disturbance in the Gulf will push into the state of Texas this weekend. As of now it doesn’t look like this system will strengthen much, and only looks to bring us the potential for a few isolated showers Saturday and Sunday.

The major story of the forecast continues to be the heat. Plan on it feeling like it is over 100° each of the next 10 days!
