February is a wonderful month, mildly chilly weather, the super bowl and even Valentine’s day. Whether you’re the most popular couple in the world or just a lone wolf doing your own thing, it’s the perfect time to spend an evening playing some incredible games. Helldivers II | February 8th | PlayStation 5 and PC
Strap on the Starship trooper-esq armor of a Helldiver to defend and conquer for Super Earth. Travel to unique alien worlds with up to three friends to take on hordes of gross creatures all in the name of freedom. As some of the most elite soldiers there is, it’s up to you and your squad to take the most aggressively managed democracy in the universe and back it up with the biggest most powerful stick you can. -I’m doing my part- and you can do yours by dropping boots on the ground in Helldivers II now available on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Banishers Ghost of New Eden | February 13th | PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC
How far are you willing to go for the one you love? Banishers Ghost of New Eden places you firmly in that question. Set in late 1600′s America, take on the roles of Antea Durate and Red Mac Raith, two Banishers heading to the town of New Eden to investigate a deeply haunting mystery. Tragedy unfolds as Antea is mortally wounded and Red must begin his mission to save his beloved. Spectral foes, demonic creatures and malevolent entities plague the area, but the true difficulty comes in when you are forced to make difficult story altering decisions. Ultros | February 13th | PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Mac
Some games ask the hard questions like, what if Samus tripped on LSD? That is exactly what developer Hadoque’s Ultros is going for anyway. But don’t let the bright and colorful world fool you, as it really does ask the hard questions. Exploring deep meta themes of mental health, life, death and rebirth. Karma and the very nature of the cycles we exist in. All that heady commentary wrapped in tight knit combat, claustrophobic corridors and a metroidvania world design. Begin the cycle anew when Ultros launches February 13th on PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, and Mac.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered | February 14th | PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch and PC
Many of us started our gaming adventure back in the angular days of the original PlayStation with games like Tekken, Metal Gear Sold, and Tomb Raider. Well, if you’re a fan of those classics then you’ll be happy to hear, Tomb Raiders 1-3 are being remastered for modern consoles. True to form for developer Aspyr, who have tackled other remasters in the Jedi Outcast and Knights of the Old Republic, all the original content, as well as all dlc and secret levels are included. Relive those triangular adventures when Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered launches February 14th for PS4/PS5, Xbox one, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Mario v Donkey Kong | February 16th | Nintendo Switch
February also marks the return of one of the greatest rivalries in the world. Starring one of the most broad-shouldered characters of all time. Thats right Mario v Donkey Kong is back. Donkey Kong has made off with the mini Marios and now regular sized Mario must get back. Solve Puzzles with the signature Mario Bros platforming we all know and love. A great soundtrack, fun level design and goofy premise make this a must for any die-hard Mario or Donkey Kong fans. IT’s on Like DONKEY KONG when Mario v. Donkey Kong launches February 16th exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth | February 29th | PlayStation 5
Finally, what is perhaps one of the most anticipated games of the year, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Rejoin Cloud, Tifa, Barrett, Aerith and friends as they strike out into a new unknown wilderness. Featuring stunning visuals, a massively expanded world to discover and an absolute glut of mini games to conquer Rebirth looks to be packed full of things to do. I’ve played the demo and the combat is better than ever featuring a new skill system and partner attacks to spice things up this time around. The world building is expanded through odd jobs, fully open world areas and of course the ability to choose who Cloud’s best girl will be. Plus that soundtrack is choked with elegance and whimsy in equal measure. Defy destiny and the chaos of Sephiroth when Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches February 29th exclusively on PlayStation 5
