From high in the mountains of the Eastern Sierra of California, nestled between alpine peaks and clear cold lakes, lies the small village of June Lake. From the warm sunny days of summer, to the icy cold winters, June Lake boasts of some of the best trout fishing in the summer, skiing in the winter, and great works of art year round. This is because June Lake is also known as a haven for creativity and imagination. Here at the Living Wood Gallery, we display and sell unique wood carvings. These carvings are from local woods as well as selected material from eastern hardwood forest and the great northwest.
Ron studies each piece of wood and works with the natural grains to bring out the 3 dimensional carving to its full potential. In his hands he can form wood from finely finished slabs or the lowly pine knot into finished works of art.

In the quaint little village of June Lake, seated in the midst of the High Sierra, Cathy was inspired by God to open a candy shop featuring handmade Gourmet Candies. The business blossomed from her home kitchen into her own storefront on June Lake's main street.
Inspired by her mother's peanut brittle while growing up, Cathy puts a touch of love in each piece. Many family recipes are included in her array of candies. She delights in bringing joy to others as she has for so many years to family and friends.
